Lot Description

Four Japanese Netsuke
19th/20th Century

comprising two bronze example, the first by Hiromi, naturalistically cast to show an inset resting inside of a melon, the reverse inset with a mother-of-pearl panel inscribed with a two-character maker's mark, 弘美, the second in the shape of an eggplant; two boxwood examples, one depicting a frog on a scrolled lotus leaf, the other a walnut carved with fortune and longevity characters. 
Length of longest 2 1/2 in., 6.3 cm.

Property from the Estate of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Fry, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, thence by descent
