Five Japanese Figural-Form Netsuke
19th-20th Century

comprising four wood exmaples, one by Masakazu, depicting the immortal Jurojin sitting on a large peach, signed with a two-character mark, 正一; one in the shape of a noh play dancer, signed with a single-character mark, 妙; one showing a seated male figure with a grinder; a buffalo example in the shape of a young child; a metal example cast to show a fisherman bearing a large lotus leaf.
Average length 2 in., 5 cm.
