Four Chamberlain's Worcester Porcelain Articles from the Carnatic Service
Circa 1820

comprising two plates, an oval dish and an oval platter, each decorated with a central botanical image respectively identified to the underside: Superb Corn-Flag (plate), Winged Passion-Flower (plate), Chinese Lychnis (oval dish), Prickly Comfrey (oval platter); the border of each bearing a cartouche inscribed in Arabic 'Amir Al Hind Nawab Azam Jan Bahadur 1236 Hirji' (date 1820 AD) and with maker's stamp to the underside.
Width of platter 12 5/8 inches.
