Lot 312
Lot Description
After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon.
Jacket and skirt of a black, blue, and grey silk ribbon-woven fabric. The jacket is cut with a crew neckline, long sleeves, patch pockets, and a center front button closure. The jacket is lined with black silk and the hem is finished with a silvertone metal chain on the inside. The flared skirt closes down the back with a zipper and is lined with black silk.
