Lot 310
Lot Description
After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon.
Black and white boucle jacket and skirt with knit sweater. The jacket and skirt are cut in panels that are outlined with purple silk satin piping. The jacket is cut with a notched lapel, long sleeves, and flapped patch pockets. The buttons at the center front, sleeve hem and pockets are made of black metal with the CC cut-out logo.
