A FEDERAL CHERRYWOOD INLAID TALL CASE CLOCK

Having a double scroll and stepped cresting with carved rosettes and three fluted and swirl-reeded finials, the centermost on a flaring fluted post; an arched painted face with a rocking ship movement, floral corners, flanked by slender columnettes, a rectangular lip-molded wait door with serpentined top and flanked by quarter-fluted corners, the waist door and base have "shaded" fan-inlaid corners, on ogival bracket feet, of a later date, H: 94 1/4 in.Note: James Cary, Jr., was working the first decade of the 19th c.
