A FINE VICTORIAN SILVER CANDELABRUM

The shaped standard of triangular section extensively chased with scrolling foliage on a matted ground in traceried strapwork panels, supporting a set of six leafage-capped, scrolled molded candle arms with flower head stops below a set of three similar arms, all with cast and chased bud form nozzles with flower heads in matted trefoils and beaded edged bobeches, the base of triangular section with three scrolled supports between panels all with conforming scrolling foliate decoration around three shaped reserves, one engraved with a coat of arms, and on three feet of quatrefoil section each chased with stylized flower heads below a conforming raised cap. All pieces marked. Repair to one large candle arm, inscriptions removed from two reserves on base.H: 31 in.; wt.: 284 oz.
