Circular with two cast and chased handles modelled as seated lions on anthemion scroll brackets, the straight sides chased with classical figures at a banquet on a matted ground below a flared rim chased with trailing vines, all above a gadroon-edged tapering lobed base on a socle foot with gadrooned molding, the interior gilt. Marked on side; the foot rim stamped ELKINGTON & CO., the inside stamped 12933. On an ebonized circular stand. Minor dents at lower base. H. to rim: 11-3/8, dia.: 12-1/2 in; wt.: 103 oz.
