AN ENGLISH SILVER PLATED HOT WATER URN

19th C., unmarked

The ovoid body chased with flowering sprays between swags of bellflowers, the center with a coat of arms behind a spade-shaped ivory tap and leafage-capped spigot, and set with two square-topped molded loop handles, the removable spool-shaped cover similarly chased and with a domed top set with a flame finial, all resting on a chased socle foot and shaped square floral swag-chased base with four cast ball and claw feet below a pierced edge. Unmarked. Repairs to body inside at spigot joint and at sides, flame finial brass. H: 21-1/2 in.
