AN 18TH CENTURY STYLE KINGWOOD TALL CASE CLOCK

The 18th c. movement signed "Jean Fol A Paris" with outside countwheel striking on a bell. The circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals and seconds sweep hand. The waisted case with circular bonnet surmounted by a cherub finial. Waisted case with elliptical lenticule, supported by a spreading base with serpentine platform. The case stamped below the bonnet on either side: V. Henrion no. 1903 & M.E. Goyer, the case is possible early 19th c., the white enamel dial is probably a replacement. Complete with pendulum and a single weight, h: 82 in.
