Washington, D.C., 17 April 1972. 1 page, 8vo, on White House letterhead, affixed with tape to cardstock. -- Typed letter signed ("Richard Nixon"). New York, NY, 22 January 1982. 1 page, 4to, on Richard Nixon letterhead. -- Together, 3 letters written by Nixon to Senator Samuel L. Devine.

[With:] FORD, Gerald. Typed letter signed ("Jerry") with autograph note signed ("J"), to Samuel L. Devine. Washington, D.C., 1 July 1969. 1 page, 4to, on Congress of the United States Office of the Minority Leader letterhead. A letter of thanks for political support, Ford adds a handwritten note: "Your personal leadership was tremendous. We could not have won without it."

Samuel Devine represented Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1959 to 1981 and a close political ally of Nixon.
