plate #84, depicts a vibrant warrior, designated as Yellow Horse dressed in a military jacket with armbands, gorget, and unique feathered headdress; he sits astride his black mount, with a rifle in one hand and a staff in the other, possibly denoting he is a member of the Tomahawk Society (Schorsch 1990: plate 40); he strikes a simply dressed Ute warrior
