Lot Description

An American Glass Inset, Carved and Painted Pine Carousel Horse
Attributed to James Sheetz (1851-1923), Circa 1880s

appears to retain the original paint and inset swirl glass marble eyes. 
Height 56 1/2 x width 42 x depth 10 inches; diameter of base 30 inches.

Two similar carousel horses attributed to Sheetz are held at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley in Winchester, Virginia.
