A Sino-Tibetan Gilt Bronze Figure of Mahākāla
銅鎏金大黑天像
the wrathful figure depicted in a wide lunge, balanced across a human and deer, cloaked in armor and a fluttering cape, all while brandishing a sword. The whole all above a lotus plinth and backed by a flaming mandorla.
Height 8 3/4 in., 22.3 cm.
