After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon. 

This lot contains one skirt suit and one jacket. 

THE FIRST 
Black twill jacket and skirt. The jacket is cut with a double breated button closure, square neckline, set-in sleeves, and two flapped hip pockets. The center front buttons feature gold-tone CC logos. The jacket is fully lined in black silk featuring woven CC logos. The skirt has a wide waistband, is fitted through the hip with two patch pockets and a flared and pleated hem. The skirt is lined with black silk featuring woven CC logos. The skirt closes down the center back with a zip and hook and bar closure.

Black crinkle-weave jacket trimmed with rose/pink silk satin around neckline, center front closure, covered buttons, the top of each pocket and along the hem. The front of the jacket and the front of the sleeve are cut in one piece. The back of the jacket and the back of the sleeve are cut in one piece. The jacket is fully lined with black silk that features woven CC logos.
