8vo. (Some minor staining.) Modern orange morocco gilt, black leather lettering-pieces gilt, edges gilt; slipcase.
FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, SIGNED BY CAPOTE on the front blank leaf, with stated "First Printing" on copyright page. Capote's novella was published along with three other short stories: "House of Flowers," "A Diamond Guitar," and "A Christmas Memory." "Breakfast at Tiffany's" was adapted to film by George Axelrod in 1961, starring Audrey Hepburn in her most memorable role as Holly Golightly. The film was released on 5 October 1961 to critical and commercial success, grossing $14 million on a $2.5 million budget.
