His vice-presidential candidate's ferrotype portrait is on the reverse with his name, "Edward Everett" printed in negative above. Tice lists a similar John Bell item, though single-sided, stating "I am unsure if this is a pin-back campaign item, or a button." One example (Tice PC262) is with a metal border, and a variation (PC2262Am) is blank with a tinned iron back. This is possibly another variation of the campaign souvenir.
