A U. S. MODEL 1860 FIELD AND STAFF OFFICER'S SWORD

Barnum, Son & Co., Buffalo, N. Y.

With cast brass hilt having American eagles, flags and military trophies and wire wrapped rayskin grip, the blade engraved with patriotic motifs and signed by the maker, the scabbard of nickeled steel with brass mounts; underside of langet engraved to the owner: "G. W. York, Buffalo, N. Y.," retains a gold boullion sword, knot, l: 37.75 in.
