Old Man of the South Pole (symbol of happiness and longevity )

signed and dated year Gengwu (1750), with a dedication, seven artist's seals.

款識:灰飛緹室應書雲,遐算添同刺繡紋。邸第良辰欣有慶,天倫至樂貴無文。樽持北斗傾紅友,詩擬東坡壽卯君。從此每逢開裹歲,棣華歌繼九如聞。五弟與予同年,今四使壽辰,既賦詩志慶,茲復寫南極老人並錄前詩賜之以,示申錫之意云。庚午(1750)長至日御筆。
向在書室,值吾弟生日,每為詩畫祝壽,今無暇焉。值此開裹良辰,不覺技癢,率筆製此,願吾弟與老人星同期頤年。十五年前書齋倡酬之樂如在目前。養心殿之三希堂再識。
