Lot Description
[NATIVE AMERICANS]. CASWELL & DAVY, photographers. Group of Chippewa Indians. Duluth, MN: ca 1860.
6 x 3 in. stereoview on cardstock mount (light, even toning to print; some corner and edge wear to mount, including some staining to margins). Recto with Caswell & Davy's "Scenery on the Northern Pacific Railroad" imprint and title. The man seated at right wears skunk fur garters. A rare feature of this image is the dog, clearly part wolf, asleep in the foreground.
