[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY - JAPANESE]. A group of 7 Japanese ambrotypes housed in kiri wood cases, including:
Approx. 4 3/4 x 6 in. portrait of a Japanese family including a woman showing off her hand painted kimono sleeve. (Spotting and scratching to plate, with image loss to upper right corner.) Housed loosely in a kiri wood case (one edge panel fully separated from case). -- 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 in. portrait of two women flanking a table surmounted by a bonsai tree. (Spotting throughout, some image deterioration to edges, with image loss to some corners.) Housed loosely in a kiri wood case with characters on the front cover and edge (mat portion quite loose, appears to be missing a few inner panels). -- Approx. 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 in. portrait of a young man wearing geta and sitting next to a bonsai tree.
