8vo. Plates. (Minor toning.) Original grey-green cloth with panel of red damask attested to be from the Todd home, paper label to spine (spine slightly leaned, paper label toned). Provenance: Ruth L. Cromwell (gift inscription); sold Cowan's Auctions, TheEd Steers lIncolniana & Civil War Collection, Lot 180, 2 December 2011. 

FIRST EDITION, LIMITED EDITION, of 150 copies for sale, of 175 printed, on Aurelian paper. The front cover features an inset panel of red damask, a facsimile letter from the author, niece of Mary Todd Lincoln, on the limitation page attests that it is from the Todd family home in Lexington, KY.
