[MADISON, James (1751-1836)]. Reception of the President of the United States. New York, 12 June 1813.
3 9/16 x 2 7/16 in. partly-printed ticket (pale spotting).
An entry ticket for a reception held for President James Madison at City Hall in New York on 12 June 1813. Completed in manuscript for four entrants and signed by John Bellumay, "Aid to the Marshal of the day." Not long after his second inauguration on 4 March 1813 and immediately before the President fell to a debilitating illness, described only as remittent bilious fever.
