3 x 3 in. cracker housed in its original makeshift newspaper envelope with postage and cancellation still intact and visible, indicating that the cracker was sent from Washington, DC to Delaware County, OH in June 1863. Provenance: James Frasca (sold Hindman, 12 November 2021, lot 30).
