[CIVIL WAR]. A pair of triple border captain of staff shoulder straps.
Each 2 1/8 x 4 5/8 in. captain of staff shoulder straps (some fraying, loss of bullion, darkening, some loss of pile to velvet). Shoulder straps featuring triple-borders and captain's rank bars elaborately embroidered in gold bullion. With additional twisted brass wire outer border, navy velvet centers, fold over cloth backs, open centers with visible stitching.
