FIRST EDITION of Miller's three-act play, which opened on Broadway at the Coronet Theater on 29 January 1947. Running for 328 performances, Miller's play was directed by Elia Kazan, the dedicatee, and won the New York Drama Critics' Circle award, and Tonys for Best Author and Best Direction of a Play.
