Three Japanese Covered Vessels
19TH-20TH CENTURY

the first a set of two gold and red lacquered octagonal covered boxes, decorated in gold lacquer with bird and flowers; the second an embellished wood water vessel with a small bowl and a small cup, depicting persimmons on leafy vines; the third a small chest-form wood box, the cover decorated in gold and with mother-of-pearl inlays, showing two leaves forming a boat with a prunus flower atop. 
Height of largest 6 5/8 in., 17 cm.
