[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. HAMMANT, W., photographer. CDV of an early indoor wooden frame bowling alley. Jacksonville, FL: 1867.
2 1/4 x 3 3/4 in. CDV on cardstock mount (toning, slight indentation near top center of print/mount; some corner and edge wear to mount). Verso with multiple period ink inscriptions, including credit to "W. Hammant / Photographer / Bay Street / Jacksonville," and "Bowling ally [sic] on (NW) Newman & Bay - Picture Taken in 1867." An additional reference is made to "Capt. H. C. Hammant / 15 S. Beaver St." A very early and rare view of a wooden frame bowling alley.
