Condition:
THE FIRST
The overall condition is very good with the following:
Split/Separated Seams: One of the back corners of the removable tray is starting to peel back and another is worn threadbare. There is some minor buckling of the Vuittonite behind the lock plate and metal hardware.
Fading/Color Change: The twill tape straps have slightly darkened.
Soiling/Spots: The edges of the lacquered leather trim have several small scuffs, nicks, and spots. There are some minor spots throughout the entirety of the canvas exterior but most noticeable is a black mark near the bottom the top lid, top of the base side, and along the back hinged edges. There are large scratches on the top of the case near the handle. Silver spots are noticeable on the interior lid along the sides.
Corrosion/Tarnish: The metal hardware has darkened on the corners, lock plate, and tacks used on the trim though all are still intact and useable.
Other: There is still protective brown paper in the base of the case that has adhered to the Vuittonite.
THE SECOND
The overall condition is good with the following:
Structural Issues: The base top right corner has a small gouge that is most visible on the interior which has broken through the lining. The leather handle is starting to crack but is still whole and useable.
Split/Separated Seams: There are hairline cracks in the monogram canvas on the lid top side right corner.
Fading/Color Change: The linen lined bottom of the removeable tray has darkened, especially along the sections where it is in contact with the support slats.
Soiling/Spots: The edges of the lacquered leather trim have several scuffs, nicks, and spots. There are some minor spots throughout the entirety of the canvas exterior but most noticeable is a black mark on the bottom of the base side, and white scrapes on the right side, and base side. There are large scratches on the hinge side of the case. The removeable tray has some dark spots on the edge corners.
Corrosion/Tarnish: The metal hardware has darkened on the corners, lock plate, and tacks used on the trim though all are still intact and useable.
Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
