A Chinese Hardstone Inset Metal Mounted Double Gourd Vase and Cover
LATE 19TH CENTURY
having two globular lobes divided by narrow waist and narrowed to a elongated neck forming a cover, all encased in a silver openwork network scrolling vines bearing fruits and flowers reserving eight roundels, further appointed with smooth gourd-form hardstone insets, and all supported above the en suite silver stand.
Height 19 1/4 in., 48.7 cm.
In good condition with some warping and tarnish to the metal, soililng throughout. Minor loss to inset stones about mouth rim. Additional images available upon request.
