Sturdy, attractive condition with shiny patina; bronze mounts also with bright, even patina. The green leather top is not original and the gold decorative painted motif at the center is also a later modification. Otherwise in good original condition, possibly refinished in the 20th century, with a few minor scratches consistent with age and use. Some slightly heavier wear and scuffs at corners of mahogany legs. Probably dates to 20th century, not 19th century as first catalogued. There are modern metal brackets joining the medial shelf to the legs.
