Condition:
THE FIRST
The overall condition is good structurally on the exterior with the internal lining shredding, multiple spots on the exterior, and a few strands of beading missing along the bottom.
THE SECOND
The overall condition is good with some missing trim along the internal frame, red marks throughout the lining, and the frame and strap has developed a patina on the exterior. The exterior beading appears intact but also has darkened due to age.
THE THIRD
The overall condition is good with a couple of missing links on the front right, some minor discolored links on the lower left corner, and along the corners of the frame.
THE FOURTH
The overall condition is fair as the entire exterior has faded and is starting to pull away from the frame along the back and right side frame. The frame has developed a patina both externally and internally. The lining is worn but mostly intact.
THE FIFTH
The overall condition is good though the exterior beading appears to have darkened and the attached satin pieces in the lining have mostly shredded away. The frame has some darkened areas nearest the closure and corners.
THE SIXTH
The overall condition is good on the exterior with some minor enamel loss along the front of the frame and the entire lining is missing.
THE SEVENTH
The overall condition is very good with no visible issues.
THE EIGHTH
The overall condition is fair with several splits in the lining of the hat; two large ones along the sweatband at the center back, one on the right side. The gold-tone metallic thread has tarnished throughout most of the crown and there are several beads missing from the centers of the encircling flowers. Several threads are pulled and are loose throughout the entire hat and the sweatband is heavily soiled along the front. The satin backing of the brim has losses throughout.
Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. All other condition issues are stated above. To request additional working condition photos, please email [email protected] with the lot number.
