Callot Soeurs Evening Dress, 1930s No size label

Bodice and skirt made of 18" wide ribbed silk millinery ribbon. Fitted bodice has wide, self-fabric shoulder straps and is embroidered in a floral pattern with glass beads and sequins. The full width of the millinery ribbon is cartridge pleated onto the hip of the bodice and has a hem of full width blue ribbon. Two bound slip pockets in the red fabric of the hips. Zipper down center back. Label: Callot Soeurs / with periwinkle bodice, sequined floral detail, a coral and periwinkle hand pleated skirt, and a back zip closure.Labeled: Made in France / Callot Soeurs / Paris / Nouvelle Marque Dpose

Dress has condition issues with thread bare edges of the shoulder straps and thread bare marks on the blue hem of the skirt. Discoloration in the blue fabric of the bodice with some loose and missing embroidery. Center back zipper appears to have been resewn or replaced. Zipper works, but zipper pull is missing. Approximate Flat Measurements: Waist: 23" Hips: 36 " (taken where the red fabric is attached to the blue bodice) Bust measurement is difficult to take as the back of the bodice is cut low. Length (from underarm to skirt hem): 48" The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
