Each porcelain plaque of rectangular form and finely painted with various scenes, the first depicting seven sages gathering underneath pine trees on a river bank, signed Wang Dafan (1888-1961); the second a mountainous landscape, signed Wang Dacang (1899-1953); the third horses in the woods, signed Zhang Zhitang (1893-1971) and the fourth roosters underneath trees with floral blossoms issuing from rockworks, signed Liu Yucen (1904-1969); all set within hardwood frames.
