Estate of the Artist
Rosenberg & Co., New York
Lot Note:
To learn more information about the artist, see Lot 15.
The work is framed under plexi. In overall very good condition. The work is affixed to the underman via two 'T' pieces of linen tape at upper left and upper right corners. The sheet is heavy, and stays flat. Composition extends to the outer edges of the paper. The edges are relatively even, especially so along the bottom edge. We notice the brown paper tape verso popping up along the top edge (invisible when the piece is matted). No evidence or loss or restoration. With scattered watercolor splashes throughout, which are the artist's doing. Nice accumulated texture at bottom center in the knot of ropes, as well as on the orange poles. Additional images available upon request.
