19th Century US Military Brigadier General's Epaulettes with tin.
Cased set of officer's epaulettes housed in tin case. Each epaulette with gilt bullion tape body, rows of heavy bullion fringe, and brass crescents. Undersides with red velvet and red Moroccan leather. Brass fasteners marked "Left" and "Right" respectively. Each epaulette with a high relief silver star and an apparent bullion eagle on circular fields. Eagle buttons at edge function as unlocking pins to hold epaulettes in place. Wear to underneath red velvet and leather on both epaulettes. Light tarnish to crescents. Case with exterior wear, scattered scratches to finish, and indentations.
