The clock winds, ticks and strikes when the hands are advanced, but there is no hammer to strike the bell properly. With pendulum; no key. The bracket with an age crack on the front and areas of lifting / bent brass inlay on both sides. The cherub finial is loose and has a dull, dingy patina. Areas of lifting or small areas of missing brass inlay on the top's sides. The clock case with lifting and missing brass inlay on both sides. The rear door has one hinge needing a new screw to hold it in place. Chips in the wood and missing shell inlay to the right of the front door, where the opening and closing of the door abraded the frame's surface. Cracks and small chips in the veneer's surfaces as is normal. Acquired in 1985 from George Curtis, Cheltenham. Additional photos available upon request.
