Each piece in overall good condition with light wear use including some scattered, shallow scuffs and scratches. Present very well overall, ready to use. The wooden boxes with cracking, scuffing, discoloration, scratches, etc.; each with an inset brass medallion with monogram erasure.

The monogrammed examples: length of the knives 8 3/4 inches. The handles each marked with an 'RM/EH' in a clover, used between 1863-1880. The handles likely later replaced or embellished: the knife handles and three fork handles stamped with a 'W', probably for 1889, and three fork handles stamped with an 'X', probably for 1890.

The grapevine examples: length of the knives 8 3/4 inches. The handles of each knife and five of the forks marked with an 'RM/EH' in a clover, used between 1863-1880. The necks of the forks also with marks that have been etched over. One fork marked 'AH', probably for Aaron Hadfield/Hatfield, Sheffield.
