The Homeland. Denver: Wiswall. 8 1/4 x 14 1/2 in., framed (stain near top edge of print, crease near top left corner). With detailed inscription on the back of the frame describing the scene, reading in part, "Taken on 'Lookout' Mt. on the Denver Mountain Pack Roadway built in 1913-1914 by Fred Sheinham...In the Summer of 1913, a convention of Indians was held in Denver - a picnic was planned for one day, this picture was made on the day of the picnic. All the Indians pictured are tribal leads - Chiefs and Princesses..." The inscription indicates that the woman pictured is Princess Red Feather, but because she had a copyright on her photographs, the plate of this picture had to be destroyed after this example was made and presented to Otto F.
