Dr. John Campbell was an active member of the Cleveland Museum of Art, where he maintained close ties with esteemed curators Wai-kam Ho and Sherman Lee. A dedicated educator and connoisseur, he taught Asian art at the University of Akron and served on the Advisory Board of the College of Fine and Professional Arts at Kent State University. His diverse collection encompassed fine Chinese porcelains, scrolls, and jades, of which the present screen is a distinguished example.
