Founded in 1875 by Lucien Péry, Péry et Fils (also known as A. Péry et Cie) was a well-regarded French jewelry workshop. Initially a glove maker, Péry began in jewelry by crafting gold chains. At the beginning of the 20th century, Péry’s son, Albert, joined the atelier, forging relationships with important figures in the jewelry industry. Through these efforts Péry et Fils began to craft jewelry for elite jewelry maisons, including Boucheron, Chaumet, and Van Cleef & Arpels, with which it would form a decades-long collaborative relationship. Péry et Fils is considered responsible for many famous Van Cleef & Arpels designs, including the ‘passe-partout’ jewels, the ‘Zip’ necklaces, and the ‘Ludo’ bracelets. Throughout the five family generations of ownership, Péry et Fils collaborated with houses like Mauboussin, Tiffany & Co., Graff, and Dior, earning reverence for its technical abilities and exquisite designs. In 2012, Péry et Fils was sold to Richemont group. Today Péry et Fils is one of the most sought-after French workshops in the secondary market, its pieces made with elite jewelry maisons especially collectible.
