Additionally inscribed at lower right with 3 bars of music and signed in pencil "Rafael Josef." -- MASSENET, Jules (1842-1912). Autograph letter signed ("J. Massenet"), in French, to an unnamed recipient. Paris, 4 December 1890. 2 pages, 8vo, some browning. Translated: "I am in receipt of the program of the concert in which you have done me the honor of directing Marie Magdeleine. I am most happy and proud of this tribute."
