not lined; retains stretcher; with small patched repair to sky above stern of ship, with overpainting evident and the patch visible on reverse; UV light reveals some minor scattered spots of retouching, mostly to sky and perimeter, in general minimal, but with a vertical area of retouching along right-facing side where canvas rests over edge of stretcher, just above patched area; the frame is modern, but presents nicely, with only minor wear
