A fragment of pink Aswan granite preserving a vertical column of incised hieroglyphs within double border lines. The inscription opens with the ankh-sign, “life,” followed by royal titulary and a cartouche, suggesting part of a standard pharaonic dedicatory formula. Although the weathered state of the carving and the later white pigment enhancement preclude a definitive reading, the preserved signs have been tentatively compared with Djedkare, a royal name recalling throne names borne by pharaohs of the New Kingdom and earlier periods.
