refinished, but with an even surface throughout; left-facing splat with split along upper right corner; both shoes with repairs / mends at lower back edge; the left-facing and right-facing stile bottoms with repairs where they join to seat frame; the aprons with some areas of splitting veneer, and with a couple probable patches; the center of backrest / crestrail with a few age splits and mends; rear glue block is replaced; left and right feet each with patched tip; mild surface wear / rubbing to legs commensurate with age and use; the inner frame secondary wood and slip seat with some old insect holes (not active); the slip seat appears to be period or original.
