stable and sturdy; overall with a rubbed surface, the finish having variations in color, and with signs of typical wear indicative of age, including old darkened scratches, scuffs, and scrapes; the joints appear to have been tightened, with some separation / gaps to some of the knee returns and gadrooned moldings, with a few elements slightly askew, but all stable and secured; a few of the knee returns with nail and glue reinforcement; the underside retaining three corner blocks, which all have some insect damage commensurate with age, one corner block is split and slightly loose; a couple feet with minor age / shrinkage cracks; interior legs and frame with old insect holes; the upholstery is overall clean and with only minor occasional losses to surface
