stable and sturdy; refinished, with a nice even, polished finish; the splats with a couple mends on upper edge / corners; the left-facing arm with repaired / pinned break where it meets stile; the right-facing stile with repaired break below turned ring, the volute arm to same side with old chip; the front center leg with evidence of being reattached or secured, the joints tightened, and possibly with some replaced wood sections to apron; other joints have been tightened- with some later pins to legs along apron joints, and the underside of crestrail with evidence of later screws / pins- the crestrail with some age cracks visible; the slip seat appears to be original- both the slip seat and frame are number "I"; the slip seat with later leather upholstery
