17 items, the majority being Civil War-era photographs of officers and soldiers representing the Union Army and Navy. Conditions overall good, with occasional soiling, toning, and edge and corner wear to mounts. Highlights include:

3 images housed together in modern folder compiled by the consignor, indicating that they relate to Lt. Clark Stevens, who served with the 2nd New Hampshire Infantry and 1st New Hampshire Heavy Artillery. Included in the group is a CDV of an unidentified officer, uncredited. Modern tag furnished by consignor suggests that the subject may be Lieutenant Stevens, although we are not confident in this identification. Also enclosed is a CDV of an engraving of Joseph Hooker, identified in period ink in lower margin, and a 7 1/2 x 9 1/8 in. albumen photograph on cardstock mount showing an unidentified group of soldiers posed with their weapons. The image is accompanied by a modern tag furnished by the consignor indicating that the photograph depicts Co. I, 1st New Hampshire Heavy Artillery, including Lt. Stevens at far left, ca 1864-1865, but no further documentation accompanies the image making the consignor's identification difficult to confirm (heavy toning, soiling, edge and corner loss to print and mount).
