Lot Note:

The Gazette du Bon Ton was a small but influential fashion magazine published in France from 1912 to 1925. Founded by Lucien Vogel, the publication reflected the latest developments in fashion, lifestyle, and beauty during a period of revolutionary change in art and society. The present lot is a study by George Lepape to illustrate an evening ensemble by the pioneering French fashion designer Paul Poiret (1879-1944), who was a frequent contributor to the magazine's pages.

Uneven toning to sheet. Scattered pinpoint holes present at extreme edges of the work. pinpoint black and stains present at lower right. Additional images available upon request.
