British art historian, critic, and painter Roger Fry played a major role in introducing modern French art to the English-speaking world. A member of the Bloomsbury Group, he is best known for promoting artists such as Paul Cézanne and Vincent van Gogh, as well as coining the term “Post-Impressionism.” The strong influence these artists had on his work is evident in this example.

In overall good condition. Board is slightly bowed. Some loss to paint at extreme edges of the board. Three small losses to board with associated paint loss present along bottom extreme edge. No apparent issues under UV. Additional images available upon request.
